The real “alt right” has been led by such as John McCain and Mitt Romney who betrayed conservative principles in their losing runs for the presidency, the proof in that a real conservative, Donald Trump, espousing strong borders, improved military strength, lower taxes, less regulation, and school choice, won the presidency with the backing of the Tea Party, true conservatives.
