With the governments of Honduras, El Salvador, and Guatemala unwilling or unable to tamp-down the gangs in their countries, that one-third of the people there (many gang members included) want to join caravans heading north would leave behind three nations depleted except for government people and the gangs, rife for Muslim, Chinese, or Russian presence and influence, so for two reasons the wall at the southern border of the U. S. is needed, to preserve the sovereignty of the nation called the United States, and to discourage the entrance of more malevolent forces into Central America.
