Pentapolis is a Greek word used by the Philistines for the five cities of their ancient territory (where today is the Gaza Strip), corroborative that the Philistim (of the son of Casluhim who was a grandson of Ham) adopted the Greek language and culture when they had sailed to various parts of the eastern Mediterranean (the Palaeste of Albania) during the Ice Age, many of them come back to join some of their tribe who had remained to establish the Philistine territory when the Ice Age ended (circa 1500 b c. to 1400 b. c.) The Mycenaen-Greek Philistine language gradually evolved to become more Canaanite, the same language as the Hebrews but the Philistine version become extinct by circa 700 b. c.
