Perhaps the biggest reason that Nancy Pelosi is retiring soon is that the probable Republican majority in the House of Representatives after the 2022 midterm elections (with Speaker Jim Banks or Jim Jordan) will investigate her role in not protecting the Capitol on Jan. 6th, questions to be raised which she won’t be able to answer sufficiently to remove blame from her.
