As noted by one of Kyle Rittenhouse’s defense attorneys today, the prosecution during the two weeks of trial did not say Rittenhouse provoked the attacks on him (by just being there!), only during the closing arguments did the prosecution present that angle, which certainly indicates the prosecution is desperate.
