Ten or fifteen years ago, some probably Californian leftist began making his/her declarative statements sound like questions .(voice tailing up at the end), since then the fad alarmingly spread even to the U. S. Senate where Republican Ben Sasse has adopted that speech pattern to be white hip, really pathetic, and annoying, don’t you wish they’d just make it stop? That irritating speech pattern seems intended that the hearer(s) are probably inferior intellectually (like an adult talking to a five year old as if asking do you understand?), or could be just signaling weakness, as if signaling please don’t hit me, passive, almost groveling, uber sensitive the feigned leftist way.
