Today (Wednesday) during the wuhan press briefing, Robert Redfield spoke about the coming flu season when he hopes hospitalizations for the influenza virus will be lessened by more awareness so that however-many wuhan virus cases eventuate there will be plenty of room in hospitals, essentially putting the two flus in the same barrel which is appropriate considering their mortality rates are about the same (0.1%), and both are widely spread in the U. S., the spread of the wuhan virus having begun in December, thus the shutdown to prevent the spread too little too late.
