Recent random sampling in Los Angeles County shows that about 5% of the population has been infected by the wuhan virus (death rate of about 0.1%), and if that percentage is extrapolated to the whole Country, about 17,000,000 have been infected, yet governor Andrew Cuomo estimated that half of New York has been infected, so about 40,000,000 nationwide is probably a good bet.
