Even if China had checked the wuhan virus outbreak at the beginning, and warned the world from day one, by international travel of asymptomatic wuhan carriers it would have been spread throughout the world anyway, a highly contagious virus which has infected perhaps a quarter of the world’s population yet killed only about 100,000, about 1/5th the number who will die of the common flu virus this year.
