If Denmark would be paid for Greenland by the United States in mineral royalties until some agreed upon date (or for unlimited term), then Denmark could negotiate to be able to dictate how much mining should take place, the more the mining, the more cash for Denmark (and for the United States). With ownership of Greenland in U. S. hands, the safety for Europe would be more enhanced, unless the EU thinks Russia is a better friend than the U. S.!
