The investigation into Team Trump was a counterintelligence (not a criminal) investigation, so president Obama knew about it, and knew it was a farce designed to frame Trump because had there been any merit to the investigation, Obama would have told Trump (and the world), but didn’t, that the scheme would continue on into Trump’s transition period and beyond.
