If you were running a healthcare insurance company, a tight-ship, profitable, but then the government said you must insure people whom you otherwise wouldn’t (without prohibitively sky-high deductibles and premiums), you just might throw-up your hands asking why bother? So Congress should let the insurance companies insure who they will, providing good service based on actuarial tables (the nature of the insurance business), and come-up with a plan to provide funding to those who can’t be insured (without sky-high deductibles and premiums), perhaps by a new fund financed by tax-credited gifts from the private sector, a great opportunity for the wealthy to help their lower income fellow patriots.
