If the new conservative-majority Supreme Court would want to be a force for conservative judicial activism, the conservative majority on the Court would rule abortion illegal rather than just allow the states to decide the issue (by overturning Roe v. Wade), while the leftists don’t want each state to have the liberty to decide the issue according to the 10th Amendment, the leftists the judicial activists.
