Three litmus tests are facing the Democrats struggling as the midterm elections rapidly approach, to confirm Brett Kavanaugh without making too big of a scene about it, to try to get around being blamed for a government shutdown on Sept. 30th for refusing to fund the wall, and to try to sweep under the rug the ObamaGate scandal, the Russia hoax, the conspiracy to clear Hillary Clinton and frame Donald Trump. The wall funding can be snuck through by the Democrats, by a smaller increment for just one year of building, so except obfuscating ObamaGate, the Democrats can lessen their pain at the polls in November, but are they willing to bite the bullet and risk losing their wacky base?
