You know the progeny of Japheth’s son Madai (Medes) would have loved that the Caspian sea would be named Mede of Madai, but a tribe of the Tabali (progeny of Japheth’s son Tubal) of the Mazandaran province called the Caspi was the namesake for Caspian, also know as the Khazar sea by the progeny of Japheth’s son Gomer (Khazar was a son of Gomer’s son Togarmah), and as the Gulan (Golestan) sea, named for a grandson of Shem named Hul.
