Tabari of Japheth’s Son Tubal Spoken in Mazandaran of Southern Caspian Later Changed to Gilaki for Hul of Golestan

Translate:

Apparently there was somewhat a rivalry between the progenies of Japheth’s sons Tubal and Madai, because the Tabari (Tabali) language of the southcoast of the Caspian sea was renamed Gilaki for the semite Aram’s son Hul. Provinces of Iran along the southern coast of the Caspian, east to west, are Golestan (Hul), Mazandaran (Madai), and Gilan (Hul), so apparently Hul was perhaps first there but later the language of the Medes over road those of Hul and Tubal.
