Melchizedek (meaning my king is righteousness) of Salem circa 2100 b. c. was Shem (a son of Noah), namesake of Bilad al Sham (land of Shem) which is another name for Syria (named for Tyre when the Ice Age had just ended circa 1400 b. c.), begun named Phoenicia also at the time (when Joshua was leading Israel into the Promised Land), named for Phoenix a bringer of phonics to points west of what had been called Canaan (a son of Ham) during the Ice Age.
