The Welsh language (Gomeraeg of progeny of Japheth’s son Gomer) is indo european, but with a Basque-like substratum, the japhetic language apparently laid upon the grammatical structure of the displaced Basque language (Vasconic substratum) which is the remnant of the dominant language of the Atlanteans. This is born-out in Irish lore that progeny of Magog (another son of Japheth) when the Ice Age had ended sailed to the Atlantic encountering progeny of Cham, who was Ham, a son of Noah.
