If the establishment people are as dead-set-on ousting president Trump as they seem, then running a Kasich/Flake third party ticket could be in the cards for 2020 (on the Disruptor Party ticket), which would be a patently obvious attempt to oust the president up for reelection, and would mark Kasich and Flake even bigger losers than they already are known to millions (but just a few).
