President Clinton often bent to the will of the Republican majority in the House of Representatives after the Democrats’ crushing losses in the 1994 midterms (when the Republicans achieved majorities in both houses of Congress for the first time in forty years), because Clinton’s policies had been so far left, but Ronald Reagan had achieved much despite never a Republican majority in the House of Representatives during his much lauded two term presidency, so president Trump really is in good shape seeing that he can run for reelection on his Four Pillars Plan to stem illegal immigration, challenging the Democrats in the House during the next two years to join him to achieve what perhaps 70% of the electorate desires.
