Ted Cruz said something about dealing with preexisting conditions on one of the news shows (probably on Fox News), something about insurance companies having two pools of money, one from premium payments by the insured, and the other from the government for people with preexisting conditions, yet surely there is a better way than to force insurance companies, for profit entities, to also distribute charitable funds, so perhaps HUD in conjunction with HHS could assume the duties of finding the most bang-for-the-buck for the uninsured rather than have the insurance companies funnel that government money to where it probably (at least indirectly) would benefit those insurance companies.
