Why did Christine Blasey-Ford wait until a week before the confirmation vote for Brett Kavanaugh to go public with her identity as the supposed victim of his supposed sexual predation thirty-five years ago? She knew her tale would be taken with a grain-of-salt if she remained anonymous, which adds to the unbelievability of her story, that she gave Feinstein the story in July and asked Feinstein to not use her name which though of course would have defeated the purpose of the whole exercise. It doesn’t pass the smell test, so let the confirmation vote go forward, to be used against the Democrats in vulnerable seats if they vote Kavanaugh down, the Democrats facing the midterm elections in only seven weeks.
