The rise to national political prominence of Jesse Jackson caused the Democrat party to install their super-delegate system so that whom were perceived by the party muckety-mucks to be unacceptable candidates for president could and would be stopped, such as Jesse Jackson in 1988 and Bernie Sanders in 2016, yet now the system may be taken away because of Bernie’s defeat, not because of Jackson’s, more evidence of the racist tendencies of the Democrat party.
