Jebusites of Canaan called the hillock Tsiyon (Zion) where Abraham was prepared to sacrifice Isaac, Jacob had his dream, and much later, David established Jerusalem, which a thousand years before David, in the day of Abraham, was called Salem (peace), the abode of Melchizedek who was Shem.
