Tiras, a son of Japheth, was warlike, known as Thrax the war god of Thrace, who also was called by his personality, Ares, that name of the same etymology as the Sanskrit word Irasya meaning irascible, a man of ill-will who caused the Thracians to gain the reputation as rowdies and warriors.
