Patrick Morrisey (R) is leading incumbent Joe Manchin (D) by 46% to 44% in West Virginia, the poll taken by WPA Intelligence of D. C., boding poorly for the vaunted “blue wave” which the establishment types say will sweep over the United States in the 2018 midterm elections. Certainly now within reach are the 60 Senate seats for the Republicans needed to give them a supermajority, considering eight Democrat senators from states won by Trump are up for reelection.
