President Trump, the boss of the executive branch, can fire whomever he pleases beneath him in that branch of government, including Rosenstein, Mueller, and Sessions, the wisdom of which though of course would be questioned, but the only legal recourse then for those opposed to Trump would be impeachment, which considering Trump’s ever increasing popularity would fall flat.
