Across the ancient world, property markers were sometimes phallic stone pillars, even with a stone head statue of the owner, or Hermes, on top of the pylon. One of the sons of Maya and grandson of Atlas in greek mythology was Hermes, who apparently mapped the land by the same method by which Atlas measured and ocean-navigated the earth, by its axial precession rate of 72 years/degree, the same method for geometry (earth measure) used to calculate the dimensions and orientation (to true north) of the Great Pyramid of Giza also built by progeny of Ham (Geb/Khem).
