If resolving the situation for the DACA people were as important to most voting U. S. citizens as the achievement of border security and the end of chain migration, then why did 30 Democrat senators vote with the Republicans to end the government shutdown? This tells us that perhaps most of the Democrat senators up for reelection in 2018 will have a hard time winning, so maybe sixty Republican senators or more will be joining the Senate after the 2018 midterm elections.
