The asteroid belt cannot be very old because there are so many asteroids (no “Oort Cloud” making new ones), and the evidence indicates those asteroids are debris from a planet exploded between the orbits of Mars and Jupiter, that planet mythologized the son of the Sun god Helios, fiery Phaethon. Impacts on earth from that exploded planet “Phaethon” were the trigger for the global flood (see Page titled Natural Selection by Noah’s Flood), the global flood memorialized by the Greeks as the Flood of Deucalion.
