One of the attributes of the Electoral College system in the U. S. is that 50 states count their own votes and then submit the results manifested as their Electoral College ballots to determine the presidency, much better than all the votes going to D. C. to count all the votes wouldn’t you say? Along the same vein, the respective polling locations should do the ballot counting at those polling places, then to send the results for the final tabulations with the other voting locations’ tabulation results.
