The long deep canyons of northeastern Arizona (the Grand Canyon), Greenland (under the ice), and Antarctica (under the ice) were gouged by flows of water from great bodies of pooled water upstream which broke through to gouge out those canyons soon after Noah’s Flood while the sedimentary layers had yet to lithify, but the great flooding of eastern Washington to form “the scablands” by Lake Missoula having broken through an ice dam was at the Ice Age’s end, about 900 years after Noah’s Flood when the sedimentary layers had long since lithified hence “the scablands” rather than another huge canyon.
