About 20 miles to the east of Spain’s beautiful Cadiz (named for Posidon’s son Gades) at an elevation of about a thousand feet, the Atlantic ocean visible down a 20 mile slope to the south (the Gulf of Cadiz), sits the ancient city Medina-Sidonia, which is Arabic for City of Sidon, that city which had been called Asido yet with the Atlas mountains about a hundred miles away and Posidon (Sidon) having been the father of Atlas and Gades, don’t you think that Asido is a form of the word Sidon (a son of Canaan), that reconfirmed by the medieval Muslims (Moors same etymology as Fomorians) who had invaded?
