The Black Sea during the Ice Age was a huge lake, when the world ocean was a few hundred feet lower thus a river flowed down from that lake into the Aegean Sea, down where today is the Bosporous and Dardanelles strait (with the Sea of Marmara in between). Submerged ruins are found at many locations in the Black Sea, submerged when the Ice Age ended, ruins of the Thracians (progeny of Japheth’s son Tiras) off Snake Island near the mouth of the Danube and off the coast of Bulgaria, of the Pelasgians (progeny of Shem’s great great grandson Peleg) submerged off Anapa, Russia, of the Mushki (progeny of Japheth’s son Meshech) submerged off Sinope (Turkey), and undoubtedly more yet to be discovered.
