According to Khazarian ruler Jospeh Ben Aaron circa 960 a. d., the sons of Togarmah (a grandson of Japheth) included Bulgar (namesake of Volga), Khazar (of the Khazarians of Kazakhstan), and Sawir (of Siberia). The nations Turkey and Turkmenistan are named for Turqi, another son of Togarmah, and the Hittites called a city of southern Turkey Tegarama (Togarmah), also the namesake of the Tocharians far to the east where today is the Takla Makan desert of northwestern China.
