Artaxerxes thé king of Persia was so impressed with the Jewish prophet Daniel that he allowed the Jews to rebuild the city of Jerusalem, and apparently took the Daniel 9 prophecy so seriously that subsequent generations of Persians looked forward to the day that the Messiah would be born in Bethlehem, where the Magi of that generation traveled to from Persia (Iran) having seen the star to lead them there at the appointed time, where they bowed down to the newborn, Jesus the Savior of Gentiles and Jews.
