Mount Kailash also known as Mt Meru (Sumeru) is considered the navel of the earth by the Buddhists, as if the earth is like a baby feeding off the juice of the rest of matter in the universe, considered too the stairway to heaven, as Kush and his son Nimrod saw the Tower or Babel where met heaven and earth.
