Those who want to ban “assault weapons” clearly are in favor of only criminals and the police packing such firepower which would be a recipe for much more murderous crime, unless you want to believe that making “assault weapons” Illegal would prevent criminals from accessing such firearms and using them against unarmed citizenry. How many crimes every year are thwarted by armed citizens and the criminals unsure about which law-abiding citizens are packing lethal implements of defense thus why would we want to eliminate that buffer against murderous crime?
