Spain is named for the Basque (Vasconic) word Espana, which is the same as the Canaanite word Ezpanna (meaning hidden place), named by the Atlanteans (progeny of Canaan such as Sidon/Posidon and his son Atlas) which helps prove that Canaanite was the original language in Spain; two thousand years later the Romance (Roman) language Latin merged to become the linga franca known as Spanish.
