How Would Florida State Legislators Stop DeSantis Presidential Candidacy Even Though Eligibility Law Not Changed?

We still have no news from Florida about any pending legislation to change the eligibility law in order to allow governor DeSantis to run in the Republican presidential primary against Trump, yet what could the Florida legislators do if they don’t change the law but DeSantis runs anyway other than urge all their constituents to vote Trump in the Florida Republican presidential primary thus that Trump might beat DeSamtis quite easily? It certainly seems like a lose-lose situation for DeSantis.
