Whether or not you believe that the admittedly squishy Iowa Republicans support DeSantis on par with Trump (where Ted Cruz and Trump were near even in 2016), the plan for DeSantis to win the Republican nomination is to win or be close in the Iowa Caucus, and then win New Hampshire by Democrats voting for DeSantis in that open primary state for him to take momentum though to the nomination.
