A good way to look at the differences between the body, the soul, and the spirit is to consider that a plant is just physical, an animal physical yet with soul, and a human physical with soul and spirit capable of communicating with Elohim by Spirit in the name of Jesus Christ. People say that some horses are “spirited,” but they’re actually stubborn and restless beings incapable of repentance to Elohim, bringing to mind the real meaning of the Hebrew word for meek (as in the Scripture that the meek shall inherit the earth), guidable, like a stubborn horse put to bridle, great power under control.
