It was the Republicans in the United States during the 1950’s and 1960’s who led the charge to end racial segregation which is why Martin Luther King Jr. was a Republican, not a Democrat, and Dr. King implored that we should judge a person by the content of his/her character, not by color of skin; you’d think the Democrats would’ve embraced that philosophy by now!
