Kevin McCarthy as House Speaker will in effect be on probation under the watchful eyes of the constitutional nationalists of the Republican Caucus in the House because McCarthy ignored their insistence on the concessions (now reportedly granted) throughout the summer and fall, obviously hoping that he would be voted Speaker after having ignored the concession demands.
