Had the 21 Freedom Caucus members who fought against the UniParty to extract concessions from McCarthy not had tremendous support back in their home districts, they wouldn’t have stood so strongly, and you can bet that the majority of the constituents in the rest of the red congressional districts nationwide were also backing the Freedom Caucus in extracting the concessions, because Trump beat Biden by about 80 million legitimate votes to Biden’s 65 million in 2020.
