A son of Noah’s great grandson Togarmah was Turqi, for whom was named the nation Turkey, the rest of Togarmah’s sons having settled eastward, such as the Khazars (progeny of Kwzar) who settled north of the Caspian, the Subartu (progeny of Savir) of the Zagros moutains, some of whom moved to Siberia, the Uyghurs (progeny of Ugur) of western China, and similarities of the Japonic and Korean languages to the Turkic languages bear witness to further spread. The ancient Miautso tribe of southern China traces ancestry back to Gomen (Gomer the father of Togarmah) and Jahphu (Noah’s son Japheth).
