Ever since the slowdown of the earth’s spin rate has been measured, which began in the late 1960’s by atomic-metrics, what is called a leap second has been added 27 times indicating a spin rate slowdown of about a minute every hundred years, yet now to do-away-with the leap second is being discussed because it’s a reminder to the biblephobes that the earth isn’t nearly as old as they advertise.
