San Francisco Police Chief Oddly Doesn’t Say Whether Paul Pelosi Had Hammer to Defend or Perp Brought It In to Attack

At the news conference today concerning the incident at the Pelosi residence in San Francisco, the police chief said that when police arrived, Paul Pelosi and the intruder both had a grip on the hammer, yet reportedly Pelosi received hammer wounds to the head and body, so after being struck multiple times, the 82 year old Pelosi was able to stop the onslaught. (Update: the San Francisco police chief said that when the officers arrived, they saw the two both with a grip on the hammer, then the assailant David DePape took control of the hammer to beat Pelosi until the officers tackled the assailant.)
