When the Sea Peoples were invading Egypt during the bronze age collapse, which was the ending of the Ice Age, many Egyptians were sailing away from their homeland where the disasters such as described in the Ipuwer Papyrus and the Book of the Exodus had reduced Egypt to chaos, when Cecrops sailed from Egypt to Greece to found the city Cecropia later known as Athens, and the “Danaoi” of the tribe of Jacob’s son Dan, from Egypt and later from the Promised Land, became a powerful tribe in Greece.
