The only U. S. presidents given British knighthood by Queen Elizabeth were George H. W. Bush and Ronald Reagan, a nice gesture by Britain we can suppose, yet service to the British Queen as knights in her realm probably not befitting a U. S. president, surely no offense had they not accepted.
